Summerfield builds one shared picture for incident teams.

Summerfield Technologies builds software for defence, government and emergency services. It puts many public information sources on one shared map, so the team working an incident sees the same picture.

What we do

We build software that puts many public sources on one shared map. Every item names where it came from. AI drafts and people decide.

Who it is for

Built for the people who run the incident.

Defence and government

For programme offices, planners and analysts who need one picture built from public sources, with the source and reliability of every item shown. Think of a team supporting an earthquake response, where reports arrive from different publishers and do not always agree.

Emergency services

For incident commanders, duty officers and emergency managers. A team marks an area once, and the software raises an alert in the workspace when a new item from the sources is located inside it. Think of a wildfire reported near a town, with official alerts arriving from several publishers.

Operations centres

For the room an incident is run from. Each entry in a case record records who added it, and every event rests on a source. Think of a long incident where the next shift needs to know who added what, and where it came from.

How the work works

See. Record. Decide.

  1. 01

    Bring it together

Many public sources go onto one shared map. Every item names where it came from and how reliable that source is, so a person can check it before acting.

  2. 02

    Keep it straight

An event cannot be added to a case record without the source it rests on. Each entry in a case record records who added it. Every file is fingerprinted when it arrives, so a later change to the file can be detected.

  3. 03

    Draft, then decide

On request, AI drafts a written briefing on what is on the map. It is a draft for a person to check. The software does not decide who a person is.

How we build

Written down. Tested. Decided by a person.

Written down first

Nothing gets built until it is written down: what it does, what it will not do, and how anyone will know whether it worked.

Tested before it ships

Automatic tests run first. Then one person reads the result. A check that is not allowed to stop a release is just decoration.

A person decides

AI drafts and people decide. No release goes out on a machine's say-so.

Being designed to sit beside your systems.

We are designing the software to be used alongside the systems a team already runs, not to replace them. Defence companies and integrators looking for a partner on part of a larger solution can talk to us about teaming.
